Student Friendly Approach
Role of teacher
Dislikes, Desires and Ambitions
As a teacher,
We have to extend our faculties and enter the life of our students and get responses from them
Self awareness
Interpersonal relationships
Managing emotions
Dealing with stress and so are some of the areas which have to be taken care of by the teachers The essence of facilitating good learning is the ability to inspire and this is corroborated by our own experiences. As Goethe puts it very aptly. We only truly learn from those we love. Most importantly, apart from professional qualifications, does the teacher have the propensity to develop the qualities of relationship from which meaningful education can emerge? Does the teacher have the acumen for innovative ideas with a sensitive and flexible mind – set that understands the needs of all learners?
Can the teacher be a friend, a mentor and a guide?

In the words of khalil Gibrain
“The teacher who is indeed wise, does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom, but leads you to the threshold of your mind”.
Teachers not only have to instruct but they have to inspire students for the development of a scientific temper and humanistic attitude.
Self – discipline, tolerance, dignity of an individual, a sense of achievement and dedication are some of the other qualities which have to be inculcated by the teachers.
As children spend a number of productive hours in schools, moral values like concern for other, ecological awareness, a sense of pride and belongingness for an institution and country have to be instilled in them by the teachers.
